SayPro, in partnership with the United States Peace Corps, is expanding health education on sexual and reproductive rights to empower individuals in underserved communities. SayPro understands that a lack of accurate information often leads to early pregnancies, unsafe abortions, and sexually transmitted infections. By providing youth-friendly educational programs, SayPro helps young people make informed, responsible decisions about their bodies and relationships. SayPro creates safe, inclusive spaces where open dialogue is encouraged, reducing stigma around sensitive topics. Peace Corps volunteers assist SayPro in delivering age-appropriate, culturally relevant lessons that promote respect, consent, and bodily autonomy.
SayPro’s programs are implemented in schools, youth centers, and community groups with the goal of reaching both adolescents and adults. SayPro offers workshops on contraception, menstrual hygiene, puberty education, and STI prevention. With Peace Corps support, SayPro also trains peer educators who can connect with youth more effectively and encourage honest discussion. SayPro distributes educational materials, including brochures, videos, and interactive tools, that are designed to reflect local cultural contexts. SayPro believes that when communities understand sexual and reproductive health, they are better equipped to make choices that improve overall public health and well-being.
SayPro includes parents, educators, and religious leaders in its outreach to build community support and challenge long-standing myths and taboos. SayPro fosters intergenerational dialogue, ensuring that older generations understand the importance of comprehensive education. Peace Corps volunteers help SayPro bridge gaps in understanding and promote community consensus. SayPro’s inclusive approach helps reduce resistance and makes the programs more sustainable. Beyond education, SayPro connects individuals to local health services, offering referrals for family planning, testing, and counseling. By linking knowledge with services, SayPro ensures that learning translates into access and action.
Looking ahead, SayPro is developing digital platforms where youth can privately access sexual and reproductive health information, ask questions, and receive guidance. SayPro is also advocating for the integration of its curriculum into national education policies. With the continued support of the Peace Corps, SayPro is building a future where every person—regardless of gender, age, or income—can make safe, informed choices about their reproductive health. SayPro remains committed to promoting dignity, autonomy, and health for all.
