SayPro, in partnership with the United States Peace Corps, is establishing women’s empowerment forums to promote leadership, rights awareness, and social inclusion. SayPro brings together women from all walks of life—rural farmers, students, entrepreneurs, and community workers—to share experiences and identify challenges. Peace Corps volunteers help SayPro organize interactive forums where women discuss education, healthcare, domestic violence, economic participation, and civic engagement. These spaces offer a platform for mentorship, capacity-building, and advocacy. SayPro believes that when women unite and find their voice, they create lasting change in their communities. Through these forums, SayPro nurtures local champions of gender equality and justice.
SayPro ensures that the forums are not just one-off events but ongoing platforms for growth and support. With the help of Peace Corps volunteers, SayPro provides training in leadership, public speaking, negotiation, and digital literacy. SayPro connects women to resources, legal aid, and microfinance institutions to advance their rights and entrepreneurial goals. These empowerment spaces also include mental health support and self-care workshops, promoting holistic well-being. SayPro helps women build solidarity networks that foster collective action, from starting cooperatives to advocating for local policy changes. The forums become a support system where women uplift one another and amplify their collective voice.
SayPro pays special attention to reaching marginalized groups such as women with disabilities, survivors of gender-based violence, and single mothers. Peace Corps volunteers work with SayPro to create accessible spaces and offer tailored programming. SayPro translates forum materials into local languages and uses storytelling, theatre, and radio to reach wider audiences. SayPro ensures that forums represent diversity in age, background, and belief, creating inclusive spaces where every woman is heard. By promoting intersectionality, SayPro breaks down barriers that often keep women silenced or excluded. These inclusive forums challenge discrimination and transform cultural narratives about women’s roles and capabilities.
To institutionalize these efforts, SayPro works with local governments to integrate women’s empowerment into community development plans. SayPro advocates for gender budgeting, maternity support, and access to public services that benefit women. Peace Corps volunteers assist in documenting forum outcomes and compiling policy recommendations. SayPro also collaborates with schools, media, and businesses to promote gender equality across sectors. Through its sustained efforts, SayPro ensures that women are not just empowered individually but supported collectively to transform society. In partnership with the Peace Corps, SayPro is building a future where women are respected, included, and leading progress at every level.
