SayPro, in partnership with the United States Peace Corps, is strengthening early childhood development (ECD) efforts by building local capacity to support children during their most critical years. SayPro believes that a child’s earliest experiences shape lifelong learning, behavior, and health. By training caregivers, equipping centers, and creating community awareness, SayPro ensures every child gets a strong start regardless of their socioeconomic background.
SayPro conducts workshops for parents, daycare staff, and health workers on child nutrition, play-based learning, emotional bonding, and developmental milestones. Peace Corps volunteers work alongside SayPro to design localized training materials and mentor caregivers. SayPro also supports the renovation and expansion of early learning centers, ensuring they are safe, inclusive, and stimulating environments. Special focus is given to girls, children with disabilities, and those in rural or marginalized areas.
SayPro promotes holistic child development by integrating ECD with health screenings, immunizations, and nutrition programs. With Peace Corps help, SayPro organizes child health days and parenting circles that connect caregivers with essential services and peer support. SayPro also works with local governments to incorporate ECD into community development plans, ensuring long-term investment and sustainability for young learners.
SayPro measures impact by tracking improvements in child readiness for school, caregiver knowledge, and center quality. Communities supported by SayPro report better parent-child relationships, early literacy skills, and healthier development. With continued Peace Corps collaboration, SayPro is unlocking the potential of young children and empowering communities to nurture their future generations with love, knowledge, and opportunity.
