SayPro partnership with United States Peace Corps Enhancing Social Services for Vulnerable Populations in Urban Areas

SayPro, in partnership with the United States Peace Corps, is enhancing social services for vulnerable populations living in urban areas. SayPro addresses the needs of street children, single mothers, the elderly, and persons with disabilities by creating access to food, shelter, health, and legal support. Peace Corps volunteers support SayPro by conducting outreach, needs assessments, and resource mapping in informal settlements. SayPro ensures that essential services are delivered where they are needed most.

SayPro collaborates with local governments and NGOs to establish community support hubs that offer counseling, education, emergency aid, and referrals. Peace Corps volunteers assist SayPro in setting up these centers and training staff and volunteers in trauma-informed care. SayPro’s hubs operate with dignity and privacy, giving vulnerable people a safe space to rebuild their lives. These efforts reduce marginalization and help communities care for their most at-risk members.

SayPro also works to build the capacity of municipal agencies by developing data systems and service tracking tools. Peace Corps volunteers help SayPro implement technology that ensures efficient delivery and monitoring of social support. SayPro’s advocacy campaigns educate urban populations on their rights and how to access assistance. By empowering people with information, SayPro breaks cycles of neglect and exclusion.

Looking forward, SayPro plans to scale its model through mobile support vans and a centralized digital helpdesk app. With Peace Corps collaboration, SayPro is ensuring that no one in the city is invisible or left behind. SayPro believes that cities are only truly successful when they work for their most vulnerable citizens.
