SayPro partnership with United States Peace Corps Expanding Youth Access to Civic Engagement Opportunities

SayPro, in partnership with the United States Peace Corps, is committed to expanding civic engagement opportunities for youth. SayPro believes that young people are powerful agents of change, and increasing their participation in civic life leads to stronger, more inclusive communities. Together with Peace Corps volunteers, SayPro conducts workshops, leadership bootcamps, and mentorship programs to educate youth about governance, activism, and policy-making. SayPro empowers young voices through training in public speaking, debate, and community organizing. By fostering youth involvement, SayPro ensures that the next generation is well-equipped to lead with integrity, innovation, and compassion.

SayPro focuses on lowering barriers that prevent marginalized youth from participating in civic activities. In collaboration with Peace Corps initiatives, SayPro supports mobile learning labs, online platforms, and outreach in remote communities to ensure all youth have access. SayPro also partners with schools and local councils to create internships and volunteer programs in government offices. These practical experiences allow youth to understand decision-making processes and build networks for future civic leadership. SayPro’s work cultivates confidence, critical thinking, and a sense of responsibility in young citizens.

SayPro recognizes that youth-led initiatives are most successful when supported by inclusive policies and community backing. Together with the Peace Corps, SayPro helps communities host youth summits and town hall meetings where young people can share their ideas directly with local leaders. SayPro also supports youth advisory boards, giving young people a formal role in shaping development agendas. These structures foster dialogue, accountability, and collaborative problem-solving. SayPro ensures that civic participation is not just a lesson, but a lived experience for every youth involved.

As the program grows, SayPro plans to expand its civic engagement curriculum and publish toolkits for schools and NGOs. With ongoing Peace Corps support, SayPro will replicate its model across urban and rural settings, creating a national network of engaged youth leaders. SayPro envisions a future where young people are not just heard, but heeded in shaping their communities. This initiative is a powerful reflection of SayPro’s belief in empowerment, inclusion, and long-term social change.
