SayPro, in collaboration with the United States Peace Corps, is supporting access to health services for rural women and children. SayPro focuses on reaching underserved communities where hospitals and clinics are few and far between. Peace Corps volunteers assist SayPro in deploying mobile health units, training community health workers, and offering maternal and child health education. SayPro ensures that every woman and child, regardless of location, has the right to essential healthcare.
SayPro promotes preventive care by organizing health camps that offer immunizations, prenatal checkups, and nutritional counseling. These camps, conducted in partnership with the Peace Corps, educate families about hygiene, disease prevention, and family planning. SayPro also develops printed and digital health materials in local languages. By removing transportation and cultural barriers, SayPro makes healthcare more accessible and less intimidating for rural populations.
SayPro also advocates for gender-sensitive healthcare practices that respect women’s privacy, dignity, and needs. Peace Corps volunteers help SayPro train female health workers from the local community to ensure cultural alignment and trust. SayPro provides kits containing basic medical supplies and training materials so these workers can serve their neighbors. These trusted community figures become the backbone of SayPro’s rural health outreach.
SayPro evaluates the effectiveness of its health access programs through maternal mortality rates, vaccination coverage, and community feedback. With ongoing Peace Corps collaboration, SayPro is expanding services to reach even more remote areas.
