SayPro partnership with United States Peace Corps Supporting the Formation of Local Technology Co-operatives for Rural Areas

SayPro, in partnership with the United States Peace Corps, is supporting the development of local technology co-operatives in rural areas. These co-ops bring together community members to share resources, build digital infrastructure, and offer tech training. SayPro helps organize and train co-op members, ensuring they understand the benefits and responsibilities of shared ownership. This approach empowers rural communities to take control of their digital future. SayPro believes that co-operatives foster community resilience, innovation, and entrepreneurship, creating new pathways for economic and social development in underserved regions.

SayPro’s technology co-operatives are built on inclusivity and sustainability. With the guidance of Peace Corps volunteers, SayPro helps communities establish shared internet cafes, IT workshops, and repair centers. These co-ops provide essential services such as computer access, coding classes, and basic device maintenance. SayPro ensures that women, youth, and people with disabilities are actively involved in co-op planning and implementation. Our aim is to bridge the rural digital divide while strengthening local governance. SayPro sees technology as a vehicle for opportunity and self-reliance.

SayPro works closely with co-op members to identify community needs and tailor services accordingly. We provide toolkits, mentorship, and technical support to help co-operatives grow and adapt. SayPro also helps secure partnerships with local businesses, schools, and government agencies to expand co-op services. These collaborations amplify impact and ensure long-term sustainability. SayPro’s model of shared responsibility and community ownership ensures that rural areas are no longer left behind in the digital revolution. Our commitment to rural development is a cornerstone of SayPro’s mission.

SayPro continues to monitor the progress of each co-operative, collecting data and testimonials to improve the program. Success stories are shared to inspire other communities to replicate the model. With each new co-op, SayPro strengthens its commitment to innovation, equity, and empowerment. Together with the Peace Corps, SayPro is transforming rural areas into digitally connected, self-sustaining communities. Our work proves that collective action and shared knowledge can create lasting change. SayPro will keep expanding this initiative, bringing hope and opportunity to more rural communities.
